The Club was started in the early 1980s by a local police man, Mike Parker along with Bill Buck and another person. At that time they played at the cricket ground off Bankfield lane and at the time they were called Crossens Colts. Eventually they joined with Hesketh Casuals senior club to form Hesketh Casual Colts and played on Preston New road.
Eventually the juniors split from the seniors and became Hesketh Colts. They have always played in the Craven Minor League, although when they were with the senior club a number of teams played in the central Lancs League and the Maghull League. They had a number of mini soccer teams play in the hightown league at this time. During the time that Gary Unsworth was secretary of the club they attained the Football Charter Standard status. The next club secretary Alice Sumner built on the development of the club and then progressed the Colts to FA Community Charter Standard status.
We currently have 150 players within 9 teams ranging from U7 through to U16 age groups, both male, female and mixed teams. We play in 3 different leagues across Merseyside and Lancashire: Craven Minor League, Hightown League and West Lancashire Girls Football League.
